I recently attended the Cisco Partner Summit in Los Angeles, where Presidio had the opportunity to celebrate our recent success and collaborate with Cisco leaders on future growth. Our commitment to excellence in Software, Cloud Marketplace, and Customer Success were at the forefront of each discussion.
The energy was contagious this year, especially around one of the newest solutions in the Cisco portfolio, Splunk. Our new acquisition of Kinney Group adds expert Splunk services and intellectual property to our end-to-end Cisco capabilities…more on that later.
Just a week or so after the Summit, Presidio worked with Cisco to close the first Cisco Enterprise Agreement (EA) that included Splunk, to a Fortune 250 healthcare company.
“The deal allows the client to consolidate its Cisco and Splunk contracts into a single agreement and take advantage of Presidio’s contract and cost optimization program,” said Shawn Gennuso, Presidio’s sales director of enterprise software. “As the customer recently closed its data center, this EA will help them accelerate their Cloud First journey.”
I want to highlight the significance of the trail we have blazed with this transaction. With Presidio’s software lifecycle motion, the agreement is just the beginning of value realization for a client. EAs transacted through Presidio come with a dedicated Customer Success Manager and the aforementioned acquisition of Kinney Group means that Splunk is now a part of that success motion.
This enables our teams to deliver additional incremental value and use cases to our clients. Our team has shown its ability to partner with Cisco to make the process smooth and repeatable for customers to follow.
By packaging multiple technologies into a single agreement and identifying a customer’s roadmap and IT direction, we can optimize budget and spend based on consumption and projected roadmap. Our approach is to enable our clients to realize value not only upfront with Presidio but throughout the life of the agreement.
Speaking of which, our Splunk momentum is becoming unstoppable. Kinney Group bolsters our Splunk capabilities, so in addition to contract optimization, we now offer game-changing Splunk offerings for customers. These include:
1. The Atlas Platform
A Presidio-exclusive software platform that resides natively in Splunk. Atlas optimizes the Splunk environment for performance and costs, drives adoption, and increases time to value. The Atlas Search library brings the power of Splunk Search into the hands of the masses – no coding knowledge needed.
2. Expertise on Demand (EOD)
EOD allows customers to consume expert services in increments as small as 15 minutes. This “phone a friend” model helps customers optimize their deployments and protect their investment.
3. Native App Development
We now have a unique ability to develop applications on the Splunk platform after welcoming Kinney Group into the Presidio family.
We are proud to be charting new territory with our strategic partner Cisco. Working together with Cisco and Splunk teams, we will continue to get our customers the right alignment of software entitlements while continuing to drive incremental value.
This initial Splunk EA is not merely the first, but the first of many!
