Cogs & Marvel is a brand experience and creative events agency. Founded by Jane Gallagher and Roisin Callaghan in 2006, Cogs & Marvel grew up alongside the tech sector in Dublin. As some of the world’s biggest tech firms chose Dublin as their global or European base, the company built a reputation as a trusted partner for events and experiential marketing services. Today, the company operates out of offices in Dublin and San Francisco with a significant global reach and plans to open an office in Asia. In 2018 they created and executed events and experiences for their clients in over fifty cities across four continents.

The company operates its IT with a linchpin security system. Data protection is critical for the agency and maintaining GDPR is a priority. As the company operates an in-house travel service, Green Light Travel, privacy and confidentiality around attendee information is an integral component of their client relationships.
Presidio has provided the agency with a secure, digitally optimised environment, including end-user device encryption for the company’s highly mobile staff who executed over two hundred and eighty-five events in fifty different cities last year. Presidio’s mixed hardware state includes Mac, Windows, Android and iPhone devices, with all devices provided, configured and managed by Presidio, from the desktop to enterprise applications and from servers to backup.

Presidio is operating as the company’s IT department in their dual office locations. Cogs & Marvel says it has achieved its goal of modernising, standardising and driving compliance in its IT systems and support.
“We get to work with global clients in the IT sector. They understand we have to complete an audit regularly, particularly when we’re doing events,” Aisling says. “Personal information and data protection are really important to us. We use Presidio to control who has access to shared files and to store critical information in their secure cloud server. Having this level of security is hugely important to our business. Presidio’s ISO27001 accreditation is a really important factor for us as it ensures that we are getting the best levels of compliance and security for our business and our clients.”
