Presidio Networked Solutions Aids Realtors Association and County Clerks Office with Key Networking InfrastructureRealtors Organization Now Thwarts Hackers at Their Point of Entry; Court Reduces Network-Server Backup Times by Over 80% Greenbelt, MD – November 13, 2007 – Presidio Networked Solutions, the nation’s largest independent Value Added Solution Provider (VASP), today announced that it has completed major networking infrastructure projects for The Florida Association of Realtors and the Lee County Florida Clerk of Court’s Office. For The Florida Association of Realtors (FAR), Presidio developed a system to prevent “screen scraping,” an attack on an organization’s website by which a computer program culls information for unauthorized purposes. Presidio installed two firewalls for FAR, developed integral Intrusion Protection Systems to run on those firewalls, and linked the firewalls to FAR’s existing Mitigation Analysis and Response system (MARS) consisting of scalable Cisco Systems appliances for threat management, monitoring, and mitigation. Through Presidio’s quick response, FAR prevented over 150 attacks on its website within the first two weeks of operation. "Presidio's help has been invaluable in the deployment of
