Board of Directors – Presidio, Inc.
Bandel L. Carano
General Partner, Oak Investment Partners
Bandel L. Carano joined Oak as a General Partner
in 1985. Bandel has invested in companies with emphasis on design
automation (Centric Software, Interconnectix, Parametric, Synopsys
and Tensilica); telecommunications (2Wire, Airspan, Avici, CommVerge,
CoreTek, Endwave, FiberTower, General Bandwidth, Metawave, NeoPhotonics,
Netopia, PictureTel, Polycom, PulsePoint, Qtera, ReliOn, Sentient
Networks, Tegic, Trapeze, Wellfleet and WFI); software (Entropic,
firstRain, Illustra/Informix, Sybase, Tele Atlas and Visto); and
advanced semiconductors (Actel, Airgo, CommQuest, Kenet, Level 5,
NemeriX, Newport Media, nLight, Plastic Logic, Resonext, SMIC, Solarflare,
Stretch, Synaptics and Virata). Prior to Oak, Bandel worked with
Morgan Stanley's Venture Capital Group. He was responsible for advising
Morgan Stanley on high-tech new business development, as well as
sponsoring venture investments. Bandel received BS and MS degrees
in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He currently
serves on the Investment Advisory Board of the Stanford Engineering
Venture Fund.
Bruce A. Eatroff
Partner, Halyard Capital
Bruce Eatroff is a partner at Halyard Capital, a private equity
fund specializing in middle-market leveraged buyouts, growth equity
and structured investments in media, communications and business
services companies. Mr. Eatroff is a founding senior partner of
Halyard Capital. He has over 20 years of Wall Street experience,
including senior positions at Goldman Sachs, UBS Securities and
CIBC World Markets. Most recently, Mr. Eatroff was also executive
managing director and head of media and communications investment
and corporate banking at Harris Nesbitt. Mr. Eatroff has a broad
variety of private equity investing experience across the media
and communications industry, including telecommunications, cable,
publishing, broadcasting and marketing services. He represents Halyard
on the boards of Halyard Education Partners, Impremedia, Presidio
Networked Solutions and TRANZACT and previously sat on the Board
of Hanley Wood. Mr. Eatroff received an M.B.A. from The Wharton
School and a B.A. with honors from Lafayette College.
Jim Fleming
Partner, Columbia Capital
Jim Fleming joined Columbia Capital in 1994 where he focuses on
investments and communication services. Columbia Capital is a venture
capital firm specializing in the communications and information
technology industries. In addition to his Presidio Networked Solutions
board membership, Mr. Fleming is also a member of ICG Communications,
NuVox Communications, WCS Wireless and The Tennis Channel. He has
been involved with MindSHIFT Technologies, Mobile Satellite Ventures
and XM Satellite Radio. He previously held board seats with Taqua
and WNP Communications and has worked closely with a number of former
Columbia portfolio companies, including NeoWorld and Digital Television
Services. Prior to joining Columbia, he served as president of Prime
Cellular, an entity involved in the operation of rural cellular
markets. Mr. Fleming is a former member of the audit department
of Price Waterhouse. He received his B.A. from Stanford University.
Joel A. Schleicher
Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive
Officer, Presidio Networked Solutions
Joel Schleicher founded and was the initial investor in Presidio
Networked Solutions in late 2003. Prior to founding Presidio Networked
Solutions, Mr. Schleicher was brought in as the chairman and CEO
of Interpath Communications, Inc. in 2000 to turn around and build
Interpath’s Enterprise Application Service business. Under
Mr. Schleicher’s leadership, Interpath successfully acquired
market leader US internetworking in the summer of 2002 to create
the largest and most profitable enterprise applications service
provider in the industry. He remained on their board until their
sale to ATT in late 2006. Previously, Mr. Schleicher has worked
with private equity firms as an investor, advisor, board member
and manager in telecommunications and technology companies which
included Nextel, where he held the positions of president, chief
operating officer and board member from 1989 to 1995. Mr. Schleicher
currently serves on the board of directors for Techtronic Industries,
Inc., a Hong Kong-listed company. He previously served on the board
of directors for Novatel GPS, a NASDAQ-listed company until its
sale in November 2007. Mr. Schleicher received his B.S.B. in accounting
from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management,
where he currently serves on the school’s board of advisors.
Mr. Schleicher is also an active member of BENS, Business Executives
for National Security.
John Siegel
Partner, Columbia Capital
John Siegel joined Columbia Capital in 2000 and focuses on communication
services investments. In addition to his Presidio Networked Solutions
board membership, Mr. Siegel is currently a member of the board
of directors of MindSHIFT Technologies, FDN Communications, ICG
Communications, EnVysion, New Global Telecom and Netifice Communications.
He is also actively involved in Mpower, Mobile Satellite Ventures
and MetroPCS Communications. Prior to joining Columbia Capital,
Mr. Siegel was a member of Morgan Stanley's Private Equity Group,
where he specialized in investments in telecommunications and data
services. He has held positions with Fidelity Ventures, the private
equity division of Fidelity Investments, and the Investment Banking
Division of Alex Brown & Sons, Inc. Mr. Siegel received his
B.A. from Princeton University and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business
School.
Miles Cook
Director, Bain & Company
Miles Cook is a partner at Bain & Company, a global strategy
consulting firm. Since joining Bain in 1986, he has worked with
a wide range of clients and industries on growth strategies, mergers
and acquisitions, new business and new product launches and performance
improvement programs.
Mr. Cook co-leads Bain’s supply chain management global division
and its private equity practice for the southeastern U.S. Mr. Cook
has worked extensively in the technology sector with leading companies
in PC technology, enterprise computing equipment, enterprise software,
software hosting and consumer electronics. His work for these clients
has included customer analysis and segmentation, sales force design,
pricing strategy, new product launch support, international expansion
and organizational design. He has also spent significant time developing
market entry and growth strategies for clients in other industries,
including media, distribution, logistics and industrial service
and retail sectors.
Mr. Cook earned an M.B.A. with honors from the Graduate School
of Business at Stanford and a B.A. in economics with Highest Distinction
from the University of Virginia. He serves on advisory boards for
the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Virginia and
for Zoo Atlanta.
Richard Gillespie
Management Consultant
Richard Gillespie has built a successful independent consulting
practice focusing on executive mentoring and sales force leadership
since retiring from Cisco Systems, where he served as vice president
and managing director of the UK and Ireland divisions. During his
tenure at Cisco, Mr. Gillespie led an organization that grew revenue
to over $1 billion, a growth rate averaging over 25 percent. In
addition to consistent growth in market share and customer satisfaction,
under his leadership, Cisco was voted “Best Place to Work
in the UK” by the Sunday Times magazine. Mr. Gillespie has
also been a frequently requested public speaker on subjects ranging
from supply chain automation to values-based leadership. Mr. Gillespie
joined Cisco in 1993 as Operations Director in the Northwest United
States and managed the largest and fastest growing Cisco commercial
operation in the U.S., covering 13 states.
Prior to joining Cisco, Mr. Gillespie was a vice president at Data
General Corporation where he held various positions over 14 years.
He has been in the computer and networking business since earning
a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Minnesota.
